Can I purchase my textbooks at any campus?

No. The Campus Stores do not operate as traditional bookstores. You must order books/ebooks through stlcc.textbookx.com. You may order STLCC branded uniforms/kits through this site for on campus pick up only or purchase at the Campus Store.

If I accidentally purchase the wrong textbook, can I return it?

You will make all textbook/ebook returns to Akademos in your account at stlcc.textbookx.com. Please refer to the refund policy on our customer service page for returns of STLCC branded uniforms and kits.

When can I sell my textbook back to the campus store?

Please use stlcc.textbookx.com to sell books. The STLCC campus stores do not buy books.

When can I buy my books with Pell Grants or other Financial Aid?

Financial Aid is generally open to use two weeks before the start of full Fall and Spring semester classes. T177 and T199 Pell book accounts are not available for summer courses. You may charge books and general supplies after verification of awards has been posted to your Banner self service account.

How do I refund/return an item to Akademos?

All textbook/ebook refunds will go through your Akademos account. Refunds/returns of textbooks/ebooks are not accepted in the campus stores. Returns/refunds of STLCC branded uniforms/kits are accepted at the STLCC campus stores. Please refer to the refund policy on our customer service page.

How do I find the textbooks I need for my classes?

You will order your course materials and textbooks at stlcc.textbookx.com. Log in using your STLCC credentials used to access Banner Self Service. Your classes will be listed along with the Required materials you need to purchase. You may order STLCC branded uniforms and logos through this site for on campus pick up only.

What forms of payment do you accept?

All campus stores accept cash, VISA, MasterCard, Discover and Student Financial Aid for applicable items. Personal checks are no longer accepted for payment in the campus stores. Only VISA, Mastercard, Discover and Student Financial Aid accepted for online purchases.

Is it safe to use my credit card or other personal information at the website?

Yes. All your login and billing information is sent via encrypted SSL.

Your campus stores will never sell or distribute any of your account information to third parties.

How do I know if my order for STLCC branded uniforms/kits has processed?

For orders of Course Related supplies on this site - If you see a confirmation number on the confirmation page or receive a confirmation e-mail, your order has been received and is in queue for processing. You are not charged until the order is processed.

You can log into your account to see if any orders have been placed and the status of those orders.

When is the payment applied to my credit card?

This website does not deduct anything from your account at the time your order is placed. Akademos does charge your account when an order is placed.

Your credit card will not be charged until the STLCC branded uniforms/kits are picked and processed.

The total amount on the confirmation receipt may change due to the availability of used books.

Your true bill will be reflected upon fulfillment of your order.
